Carolyn Wolan RN, BSN
Carolyn started her nursing career in the early 2000’s on a medical-surgical floor with a concentration of nephrology patients. She then transitioned into the Nursing Resource Team in order to explore and develop an in-depth skill set.
In 2009, Carolyn worked as the interim hepato-pancreatico-biliary Nurse Navigator for the Liver and Pancreas Tumor Clinic at Corewell Health, East, formerly Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak. During that time, she developed a knowledge of benign and malignant liver and pancreatic conditions. Upon completion of her interim role, Carolyn worked in the development of the Liver Transplant program with a focus on pre-transplant and hepatology care.
In order to continue her career growth and development, Carolyn worked in Radiation Oncology at Ascension Novi. This role provided an expanded knowledge of oncology care. From there, Carolyn returned to the Liver and Pancreas Tumor Clinic which combined her specialized knowledge of hepato-pancreatico-biliary, radiation oncology and transplant patient care. Upon joining MHP. Carolyn is now able to focus on surgical oncology of hepato-pancreatico-biliary patients. Carolyn is passionate about her knowledge of liver and pancreatic disease processes and enjoys providing patient education on upcoming labs, testing, procedures, and/or surgeries.
