Vandad Raofi, M.D.
Dr. Raofi came to Beaumont in 2010 from Georgetown as part of the Division of Transplant and Hepatobiliary Surgery. He was on the surgical team that performed the first liver transplant at Beaumont, now Corewell Health, later that year.
In addition to liver transplants, he helped expand and grow the hepatopancreaticobiliary program-essentially focusing on both benign and cancerous disease of the liver, pancreas, bile ducts and upper abdomen.
In 2016 Dr. Raofi joined Michigan Healthcare Professionals in order to focus his practice primarily in hepatobiliary and abdominal oncologic surgery.
Later that year he started the program for and performed the first cytoreductive surgery with heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy at Beaumont Hospital.
Over the past seven years his oncologic practice has expanded, currently performing around 150-200 hepatobiliary and cancer cases per year.
